Today I travel to one of my very favourite places - Fort Collins, Colorado. The last time I was there I bought a camera and eventually I paired it with a decent lens. It was all part of what seemed a far-fetched idea to improve every aspect of the content I wanted to create. At the time I didn't realise how much of an impact it would have on what I do and where it would lead but I would say in terms of beer writing the investment in taking good photos has been one of the best I've made. I still feel like a fraud when I call myself a 'photographer' though. I've never studied photography, I just try and take photographs that look something like the ones that have inspired me to pick up a camera in the first place. Now, my camera is pivotal to the stories I want to write. I relish following my lens and seeing where it might lead me and I can't wait to see what's at the end of it on this trip to the mountains.
