Frank Curtis // Contributing Writer
Originally trained in classical botany, Frank Curtis has worked in the plant breeding and seeds industry for more than 36 years. Starting as a barley breeder, his responsibilities have included field research, technical management, product development, seed production, sales and marketing, senior management positions and more.
After working in the UK for more than 30 years, Frank’s career took him to the United States in July of 2010 and he now lives in Fort Collins, Colorado. He is currently the Executive Vice President and head of operations at Limagrain Cereal Seeds - the US cereals division of The Limagrain Group, a farmer-owned international cooperative group specializing in field seeds, vegetable seeds, and cereal products.
On a fine weekend in the summer, Frank can usually be found on his mountain bike, riding from brewery to brewery around Fort Collins, sampling the end-products of the barley and wheat varieties he has introduced to the US cereals market.
